As we say goodbye to 2025, we’d like to draw attention to some of the outstanding landscapes from the 2025 International Landscape Photographer of the Year awards.
The competition recognizes outstanding landscape photography from around the world, honoring work distinguished by vision, technical excellence, and a strong sense of place.
American photographer J. Fritz Rumpf was named International Landscape Photographer of the Year 2025, the competition’s highest honor, for a portfolio of four images praised for its consistency, clarity of vision, and restrained emotional impact. Rumpf had previously been honored in the 2024 competition.

Now in its twelfth year, the competition received more than 3,600 submissions from photographers worldwide. In addition to the main titles, judges awarded five Special Subject Awards, recognizing excellence across distinct landscape disciplines.
Peter Eastway, Chairman of the Judges, noted the importance of perseverance in landscape photography, emphasizing that this year’s winning portfolio reflected “a deep understanding of patience, persistence, and determination, grounded in the strength of the images.”
