Sea Turtles

A couple dozen leatherback turtles on the sea shore in Maui.
Maui, Hawaii Since the 1990s, when laws were passed to prevent harassing sea turtles, green turtles now come ashore in increasing numbers to rest, ridding themselves of their cargo of encrusting invertebrates and seaweed by letting their shells dry out naturally.
